My Sacred Nature, 2020
Created during the travel restrictions of 2020, Terre Lontane emerged from a longing for distant places and the connections that exist beyond physical boundaries. Drawing on memory and imagination, Gaia Starace creates abstract landscapes shaped by nostalgia, movement and belonging.
A continuous yellow line travels through the works as a symbolic thread between lands, cultures and experiences. Through layered textures, intricate details and restrained compositions, the series transforms distance into an imagined space of connection, inviting the viewer to travel beyond the visible and rediscover a world without borders.
