With the travel restrictions from the COVID-19 for this 2020 and changing the way we connect with the environment at all levels, the collective desire to visit other countries has never been so compelling as in these current times.
Such situation has enhanced my imagination, dreaming of beautiful landscapes filled with my nostalgic memories, opening small windows to the outer world and bringing all its beauty to life.
The oil stick yellow line, moving organically across the paper, wants to represent the connection between one land to another. Enhanced by the materiality of the mediums and the intricate details, the abstract composition has a minimalistic visual effect, wanting to bring harmonious feeling to the viewer…stretching across the physical boundaries this series is an invitation to connect at a deeper level, meeting a multitude of cultures & traditions near and far and flowing freely beyond the visible.

The small oil painiting series entail the use of oil paint, ink and oil sticks on Arches Oil Paper. Eight of the paintings are squared (30x30cm) mounted on a wooden board and the other 4 are 30x25cm size (not framed or mounted on wooden board) can be framed by your preferred choice.
